The other weekend, we had friends over from Argentina. Since they were staying for only 4 days in Munich, we decided to take one day to visit Salzburg in Austria. The last time I was there, my toes almost froze off! But now we had a perfect sunny fall day, which was so pretty since Salzburg sits in a small valley. One of my favorite places in Salzburg is the Getreidegasse lane. It's a regular shopping lane but they've kept the old shop signs and modernized them. So, you can find any of today's stores in a charming old atmosphere. I love this combination of old and new!
So, what they say is true. Blogging isn't that easy to keep up with on a weekly basis. I kind of skipped September and almost half of October. I have a lot of new ideas after these months, so here I am again! The colors are changing, the leaves are falling and it's getting colder. I love the transition from one season to another and I think this is one of my favorites...
I've been dancing since I can walk. I started young with ballet classes and had the most fun twirling on the music. Unfortunately, I had to quit when I went to college, as I couln't find a new ballet school. Worst mistake ever... It's not good for your body to quit something abruptly that you've done all your life. I will take up dance classes some day but, for now, I just keep daydreaming with these beautiful pictures.
I always like to give a subtle theme to 'parties' I organize. I don't want people to feel like they have to dress up or interact with the theme, but it helps me organize myself. So, this year I chose the theme 'fiesta' for my birthday because I really like those bright color combinations lately. And since summer was finally there, I thought it would be a great fit. Colorful it was! And yes... Pink remains my favorite.
Besides decoration, weddings, and food, there are so many more things that I love. That's why I've decided to have an 'inspiration' section for my posts. I will include general things that I'm impressed by, taken from the books I read, movies and TV shows I watch, and anything I stumble on, such as flowers and their colors, sweet animals, nature, architecture, and so on. I hope I can inspire you too!
